PV4W Arizona Trails Final Day

By Denis & Sandi Inman
On our penultimate day of trail runs out of Cottonwood, Arizona, the previously described 4 Jeeps with the same die hard offroaders, set off up the hill through Jerome and aired down just beyond the entrance to the Mingus Mountain Recreation Area. Ed & Janet put together an excellent set of of very scenic trails and Wednesdays run was no different.
After checking out Mingus Lake adjacent to 7726′ Mingus Mountain, we backtracked a short distance to National Forest Trail 443, took the fork to NF-132, started a slow descent around the South side of the ridge and paused for lunch in the vicinity of Trick Tank. Once our appetites were gratified, we continued on to the settlement of Cherry Creek and eventually ended up at Camp Verde. I think we can all agree that everyone had a good time and we’re looking forward to next year’s PV4W Arizona trail runs.
